The Cappuccino Concerts Team are pleased to have Tony and Gwenyth Lennon as our generous patrons.
We would like to acknowledge the Lennon family's commitment and passion for fine arts which allows us to 'Commission ' and 'Premiere' new works; and to programme world class classical music concerts that are accessible to everyone in intimate venues.
It is the intention of Cappuccino Concerts to fulfil ourongoing vision of enhancing the artistic fabric of Australia's culture through our initiatives:
Grove Classics (Peppermint Grove)
Great Southern Chamber Weekend (Albany).

The concept which aims to bring new life and perspective to classical music, was born in 2009, when UWA School of Music Graduate, internationally acclaimed recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician from Ukraine dreamed up the Cappuccino Concerts chamber music concert, a brainwave that has since become an integral part of the Perth concert scene. What began as an opportunity to give performers a professional platform has been embraced by Perth audiences. The concerts are set in intimate venues like an art gallery or civic centre,a public library or other smaller establishments.
Cappuccino Concerts are all about celebrating the musical arts for the appreciation and enjoyment by one and all. The concept of informal, public based concerts of outstanding musical performances is not new; it had its origins in Paris and Vienna in the mid 19th century. Now in the 21st century it is well past the time for Perth to catch up with the rest of the world.
Today Cappuccino Concerts recognises and respects the efforts of everyone that has contributed to the ongoing success of Cappuccino Concerts, from humble beginnings to the incredible company that it is today. Irina Buevska (Artistic Director), Rob Cowell (Business Manager) are responsible for day to day running of Cappuccino Concerts and continues to build on the journey that was originally set out.
Cappuccino Concerts with the assistance of its Patrons and Sponsors is now responsible for two ongoing initiatives:Today, one of the Cappuccino Concerts major projects, the annual ‘GROVE CLASSICS’ Chamber Music Series first held in 2011, grew into an annual Perth cultural event hosted by Grove Library in Peppermint Grove. The ‘GROVE CLASSICS’ Chamber Music Series is an incredible mix of classical music to tempt every concert-goer, with all concerts performed by musicians of the highest calibre, and now attracts ‘Commissions’ and ‘Premieres’ new works by many Australian composers. Grove Classics has received National acclaim and along with its vision of encouraging commissions, has built a strong following for hosting some of the countries greatest musicians programming wonderful Classical Music.
Albany Western Australia has always been a melting pot for high level classical musicians, and is home to its own Chamber Orchestra. During 2017 Irina Buevska and Rob Cowell were invited to Curate a replica of Grove Classics in Albany by Artistic Director of Albany Arts festival Rod Vervest.Being home to many wonderful venues, it was decided that the Albany Entertainment Centre, and Wesley Church would make a wonderful home for this weekend of fabulous chamber music. After the inaugural weekend in 2018 it is expected that the Great Southern Chamber Weekend will become a regular event attracting a great regional audience and is supported by the City of Albany and the Albany Entertainment Centre.
