The Orenda Ensemble was created out of a shared desire to express the divine moments of musical joy and connection experienced when performing. This unique ensemble, featuring musicians Michael Howell (flute), Alix Hamilton (viola), and Dr. Adam Pinto (piano), has been exploring the possibilities within the existing repertoire of classical trios. With its unusual instrumentation, the Orenda Ensemble are presented with an opportunity to explore the nature of these works to a deeper understanding as they often arrange existing works to adapt it to their specific formation, whilst creating a new musical conversation within the language of the compositional greats.
